Pat saved the day!

The Millies never meet a stranger. Millie D checked her map and found a Santa Fe Trails Museum along our route. Millie called the phone number to check on hours of operation. Pat, the new found Millie Friend assured Millie that she would be happy to open the museum JUST FOR THE MILLIES!

Any guesses what this is? An old time hair curler.
The giant shoe on the left was really worn by 8'11" Robert Wadlow, the world's tallest man, who was born in 1918. The black shoes on the left was really worn by the world's tallest Millie, who was born in 19.. ;-)
This is the only electric chair in the state of New Mexico. 6 men have been put to death in the chair by the state.

There are many artifacts of interest from the early days along the Santa Fe Trail in Springer, New Mexico. The museum is off Exit 414 on Highway 25 south on the road from Pueblo, Colorado to Santa Fe, New Mexico.  It is a great stop to stretch the legs and to discover some interesting history. Say Hi to Pat for the Millies.
