Millie FLORENCE has her own town in Kansas


Following Directions

Millie D checks the oil on Ruby to make sure all is well. 
Millies received special directions from the rental company about that oil. 

Return to the scene...

No, she isn't tired.
No, Millie F did not push her. 
Millie D is reenacting a scene from the previous night at the exact spot where she attempted to FLY. 
No damage was done to the monument. 
Thankfully, Millie D is very agile and simply did a couple of dance steps, kicked her heels over her head, twirled twice, did the splits and then dived onto the cement after she tripped on the step as we explored the monument the night before in the dark. 
Amazingly Millie D suffered only a scrapped forehead and tenderized hand. 
(She got up and danced away)

Millies tour tis outstanding museum

The docents are knowledgeable about the history and the museum. 
This docent operates the elevator that took the Millies to the top of the tall monument. There were 35 stairs left to climb once we exited the tiny elevator

Millies visited president Harry S Truman homes and library. They were all closed due to the Government Shutdown

President Truman met his future wife in this stately Presbyterian church 
The Marriott Hotel windows light up in different colors every few minutes. 
Kansas City has adeptly place monuments, sculptures, fountains and gardens throughout the city resulting in the ambience of a World Class City!
Kansas City is mid America and the inner city is surely one of the loveliest in the nation. 
This is the Presbyterian  church where President Harry Truman met his future bride. 
The trees, gardens and landscaping of the city add to the refined elegance.
